Areas of Focus
While I enjoy having a diversity in cases and appreciate the unique experience of intersecting identities, I most often work with people experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, and burnout but am not limited to these presentations.
The following are the areas I have the most experience and expertise working with:
-
Through both Individual and Couple’s Therapy, I can help you navigate interpersonal conflict to improve social and romantic satisfaction. This can include improving communication, intimacy, boundary setting, asserting needs, coping with loneliness, and more!
-
As a biracial, Latino individual, I have personal experience navigating racial identity and imposter syndrome, internalized racism, lack of belonging in groups and relationships, and managing different sets of cultural expectations. I am passionate about helping others navigate cultural stressors and practicing self-love for all of their identities.
-
I have experience helping people navigate perfectionism, self-criticism, low self-esteem, imposter syndrome, and self-sabotaging behaviors by helping improve their self-compassion. I have previously led self-compassion workshops and have navigated my own personal self-compassion journey.
-
Whether you are navigating the beginning or end of college, starting a new career or leaving a longstanding one, starting or ending a relationship, or making any other big life change, it can feel like your life is turned upside down, and you are unsure which direction to head in! I can help you clarify what is most important to you to help provide clarity and direction for your future.
-
It can be difficult for us as men to open up to others! I enjoy working with men to help with managing emotions, improving all forms of intimacy and affection, navigating sexual dysfunction and improving quality of all types of relationships. Please note: men’s issues do not just apply to cisgender men! Feel free to contact me if you do not identify as a cisgender male, but still struggle with these stereotypical “men’s issues” or your identity as a man!
-
I work with individuals and couples to help navigate obstacles around intimacy.
I have experience working with individuals who struggle to manage pornography use. Some signs that pornography use may be interfering with your life include loss of time for more meaningful activities, loss of physical sexual arousal with a partner, or difficulty being vulnerable or intimate with a partner. I invite you to reach out if you are wondering if pornography use could be getting in the way of your life!
